Load Cover Gap

Hello everyone,

I'm afraid it somewhat bugs me that the load cover sits around 5" back from the rear seats and therefore there's an area where people can see what's in the boot etc.
I know that the seats can recline to touch this but they are not a comfortable possition for rear passengers, so this negates that somewhat.
Has anyone done anything to rectify this issue or am I simply being 'over-picky' about my car? I wouldn't mind so much if the rear tints didn't allow visibility into this area but unfortunately they do.

Thanks in advance.

I found the gap in the load cover makes sense when the cargo barrier is used as well. The gap means I can use the load cover without removing the cargo barrier. I like to use the cargo barrier because I can load up the back and not worry about stuff falling onto the kids in the back, especially if we are stopped suddenly.
That makes sense.
Would you mind sharing a picture of your barrier? I assume this is different from the dog guard?

Apparently the Yeti and the Roomster have a similar problem (perhaps current/former owners can confirm), but these accessories are also available:

I can't find anything similar for the Kodiaq.
Thanks, these look ideal for what's required. Perhaps they will start to be produced for the Kodiaq too. :?

It's to allow the rear seats the space to recline..?
Ys but when they are reclined, it's not a comfortble rear seat position, so therefore in a 'normal' comfortable position, a rather large gap is left between seats and load cover.
