As in my post above, all you need to do is untick the rear window wiper in reverse gear option and your rear wiper won’t wipe the rear screen automatically when the front wipers are on, no more dry rear screen wipes. You do loose the wiper operating when reversing but it’s hardly a hardship to flick the rear wiper on when required. Same goes for when driving you need to flick the rear wiper when it is required, and certainly not as often as auto thinks it needs wiped :)
