Kamiq Brochure and configurator available

Post by Colin Lambert » Tue Oct 08, 2019 7:08 pm

Configurator here.

http://cc-cloud.skoda-auto.com/gbr/gbr/en-gb

Brochure available on PDF but too big to put here. Ask dealer forPDF via email or hard copy if printed.

I have just configured a Kamiq SE L with all the extras that are standard on a Karoq SEL apart from leather heated seats which I have added.

It is ridiculously expensive! £28,830 OTR! Good luck with that Skoda.

Obviously a personal viewpoint but I really am not fond of those grey/silver bumper inserts and some of the alloy wheel choices for the SE look a bit odd.

Cost wise I think it’s Going to struggle as the competitors for me have better cars for a similar price point. I think Skoda are losing sight of their market audience.
It's a 'Kodiaq' and not a 'Bear' unless you are 5 years old.

From what you're saying, it seems to fly in the face of the VAG directive to drive Skoda back down-market!
Previously owned an Octavia L&K, currently driving a Golf SV, but looking at changing it for a Race Blue Kodiaq L&K :)

Jesus, I've just spec'd one up in SE L trim with pretty much the same options that my Kodiaq that's on order has and it's £4k MORE than the Kodiaq, the Kamiq coming in at a whopping £30,150!

Madness.

You all seem to agree with me. I think Skoda are going to 'bop a drollok' on the Kamiq.
Add a P roof to it and it's WAY OTT.
Definitely not for me!

Where exactly does the Kamiq fit into the range and who is it aimed at?

I assume its smaller than a Kodiaq, what size is it in relation to the Karoq?

I would be wrong, but I think that it's the smallest SUV they make now? So it's smaller than the Karoq, but I could be mistaken.

There's definitely something wrong because when I option up a T-Cross R-Line with the options I'd want it comes to £26,250, £4k less than the Kamiq. Top spec Arona is similar.

I assumed it was Kodiaq - Terrano, Karoq - Ateca, Kamiq - Arona so surely a Kamiq can't be £30k for top spec, that's just crazy!
