Car Collection - Standard items to check for?

Post by A18041967 » Fri Jun 14, 2019 5:08 pm

Collecting our SE tomorrow and have a process when collecting new cars such as checking body work, extra keys log books etc but what items should be included as standard?

* Towbar, will check functionality, should I receive a 13 pin converter plug when its a dealer fitted Skoda towbar/
* Boot, puncture repair kit, 2 * plastic retainers, nets how many
* Glove box, owners guide and service book, locking wheel nuts
* Doors, 2 * umbrellas

Any other items I may have missed, I already have all the paperwork including registration document.

Thanks
Duncan

Locking wheel nut will be under the boot floor.

Collected car yesterday and so far so good just two strange items.

* In the boot was all the items for inflating a punctured tyre but no spanner for removing wheel bolt and come to think of it no jack. Is this normal for an SE without a spare wheel? A single locking wheel nut was supplied.

* Boot velcro dividers, are these standard items across the Kodiaq range or only on specfic models? They were missing on my SE dealer not sure if they should have been supplied but has agreed to give me a pair at zero cost.

Its the spanner and jack items that seem so strange. If in difficulty how do you remove wheel dealers response was to call recovery service.

No wheel wrench or jack with my SE L either, just the dreaded squirty stuff. The boot dividers came with my car.
I've since bought a new space saver wheel, wrench and a jack as a package and made myself a false boot floor to keep them under.

No jack, wheel wrench or dividers with my SE, but it is the earlier 1.4 TSI.

Just noticed that theres only one fog light and reversing light on the off side. Is this normal or should there be lights both sides?
