Parking Aid Issue - rear sensors

Post by Hale-Pope » Sat Jan 12, 2019 9:53 pm

Hi - picked up our 2.0TSI SE L today and didn’t think to check the rear parking sensors but have found out they don’t appear to be working. A beep emanates when reverse is selected and an overview of car is seen on the infotainment screen at that time but there are no further bleeps when close to objects and no ‘wavy lines’ of objects on the screen. I’ve been through the manual and trawled forums and not seem that the system can be turned off so I’m assuming there is an issue? Anyone had this before? Dealer shut tomorrow, Sun, so it’ll be a Monday call if needed.
Thanks very much.

Check the volume setting for the sensors.

In CAR menu press SETTINGS

That might do it.
