Kodiaq 1.4 dsg 4x4

Post by BLACOE » Sun Sep 16, 2018 12:52 pm

Hi guys , only had the car 3 weeks, and a message has come up saying that I need to take it for an oil change within 30 days ! (From new). Any idea if this is some sort of std service before I call the garage . I’d be slightly miffed if I’m paying for an oil change within a moth of getting the car! Thanks

If it is a brand new car take it back to the dealer and ask them to do the PDI checks properly.

Had mine 4 months and haven’t had a similar message. I’m on a flexible service regime and currently it says 15700 miles/570 days to oil change.

If you got it from new and haven’t done a very high mileage agree you should take it back to the dealer you bought it from and get them to sort it. Either they didn’t fill it up, there’s a leak, or something is seriously wrong

Most likely is that the service reminder has not been set properly. The PDI does not involve an oil change for obvious reasons!!!
Check the oil level when cold and if all ok then get the dealer to reset the service reminder. If the level is low get it back to the dealer smartish!
