Blackwater be careful with PCP amd don't fall for the spin. you will only get that 'extra discount' if the actual value of the car at the end of the term is higher than the contract guarantee value, and it might not be. Also if it is, the best way to realise it is to buy it and sell privately, not accept the dealers offer.
Blackwater this is good advice. The car could be of more value at end of PCP term and the option to sell privately maybe of better benefit to you. Should always consider the private sell option in any case. This question has cropped up on here recently somewhere else but can't find the post. One reply/answer said they had done a quick survey of second hand prices over a period pre/post plate change. If I recall said they found approx £1000 difference. Personally if the car hasn't already been plated I would wait, not far off till 1st Sept and if possible get it delivered to your driveway the day before.

Nope still 17. Will it make a lot of difference?
Hi
Our car is due around the last week in August. I checked on similar cars of about 2 years of age, same spec, mileage, etc., and gave in first reg as August and then September and the difference on all of the ones I checked was about £1000 more resale value for the September regs. So I have asked my dealer not to register my car until 1/9/17.

My car was ready to pick up last week, but I have opted to wait until the 1st to pick it up on the 67 plate. Although it wont bear the 67 plate as it will have a Personalised plate on there it will be registered as a 67.

I also have the car on PCP, and intend on returning it at the end of the term. Although reading this topic, i have noted the comments of buy it at the end and then sell it private depending on the price that is offered.

For the sake of 2 weeks, between the 17 and 67 plate compared to already waiting 12 weeks was a no brainer. Depends how desperate you need the car i presume.

Usually, any dealer coatings are a waste of money.
Although the coating itself is good, it is best applied by a pro detailer, not a dealer "cleaner" ;)
I may be wrong, your dealer may have a pro detailer on board, but I doubt it !
Ceramic coatings need proper prep, something a dealer is unlikely to have time/inclination to do, or the facilities to keep the car in the correct environment during the application.

Thanks.
I spoke with them today and they said :In case of any problems they will reapplied coat under warranty, but they believe it wont be necessary.

Any way they charging £450 for it - outside and inside.
