I found out why my PARK ASSIST will not work, I have not got it!

I have got the button but it dose not do anything.
Park assist was not on the order form that I signed or on the factory build sheet.
Nobody knows why I have the button.

I do have trailer assist and a tow hook and the rear park sensors but that dose not include the side sensors that the park assist needs.
Not tried the trailer assist yet.

Just out of interest I did find this sight that offered a park assist kit, plus a lot of other toys,
We wondered if fitting would invalidate a warrantee.
Anyway, I don't think I am that bothered

Really love the colour and will be unique as it is not now available.

Canton sound system fitted (although I did not spec it – so a bonus!)

For some reason I was given a £257.50 discount……..another bonus.

So far travelled 125miles at 36.1 mpg so although not as frugal as a diesel I am pleased so far especially as the engine is not ‘run in’.

Cooling seats a real joy especially in this hot weather.

After owning six Nissan XTrails (including the new shape - which were all diesels). This is my first Skoda. I bought the Kodiaq as Nissan do not produce a petrol automatic which I felt I needed - against the background of the anti-diesel campaign. Also I prefer an automatic as I make at least four trips a year to Scotland from the South Coast and the motorway journeys with a manual box is a real pain.

Enjoying the drive and so far cannot fault the ride. It is roomier than the Nissan and the only niggle is that the Satnav does not show (on main screen) turning distances to intersections etc which, as my wife loves using maps, was a blessing on the XTrail……she also was ‘a second voice’ ensuring I did not miss a turning!!! Also on the Nissan there were a full library of POIs which were automatically shown whilst in search mode ie Historic Buildings, Museums, Tea Shops etc. Saved a great deal of time looking up Post Codes on a map. Yes I know one can use Link but that is again a problem with searching what one is looking for. Very disappointed with this. I am sure Skoda could remedy this with a suitable chip upgrade! So come on Skoda get a satnav with more meaningful information on the main screen

Have yet to use the 6th and 7th seats for the grandchildren. I await their comments as the XTrail was a bit tight.

The DSG gearbox is a dream and although I used to disable the Nissan stop/start system so far with the Kodiaq it is hardly noticeable so may keep it on.

The door edge protector was broken on pick up but was soon sorted.

Interested to hear what you think of the TSI and DSG combo is like compared to the petrol X-Trail. I myself currently roll around in a 2008 T31 X-Trail 2.5 CVT

I have no problems with TSI/DSG arrangement. I had an XTrail Tekna diesel automatic before (my 6th). I find the Kodiaq better (so far).

TBH one of the reasons I never even looked at the Nissan was due to a CVT box, I need an auto of some sort due to my left knee, but I am not a fan of CVT boxes.
To me the DSG is better than a traditional Auto, but either would have been be OK.
TSi + DSG = marriage made in heaven AFAIAC :)

The Sat-Nav does show distance to next deviation (lane change/roundabout/junction etc) on the Maxidot, and does announce it just beforehand, I guess its just a case of getting used to it Robert ;)

I've never driven a car with CVT but I hear CVT really sucks.

Hi there,

I'm a very happy Skoda YETI TDi 4x4 owner. I had a short test drive of the new Kodiaq 2.0L 4x4 and whilst it seemed nice, i was left with the feeling that it was not as robust oras solid feeling as the YETI. I would be curious how others folks find the Kodiaq?
I live in Melbourne Australia.

Picked up a W22 build yesterday evening, did a hundred kilometres, still as amazing as the test drive. Having an experienced VW electronics specialist next to me during the drive was nice, getting through all the menu options and some hidden ones, Waze for Android Auto running and whatnot. A shot at QA though, going over a speed bump managed to shake the GPS antennae connector loose, so a visit back to the shop it is. Other than that, in Northeastern Europe fashion, empty tank and a (pretty darn nice) cake on handover. Ordered April 12.

Cool, congrats!
So, did you get the W22 upgrades, like new bigger touchscreen without rotating buttons?
Any pictures would be great - still waiting on mine's build week, ordered just a few days before you.

My new petrol blue kodiaq edition, picked up on Monday. Just getting to grips with all the controls but so far a good drive. Has anybody else's kodiaq not come with storage under the front seats, I remember being told that it did.
