I've always done over-the-air updates using the car's WLAN connected to the personal hotspot on my phone, which then uses the data allowance for my phone package over 4G, but that is based on my technical inability to get the car to recognise any data on either an SD card or via a USB dongle having loaded it on my Mac.

Can you not still upload data via the USB-C?

Do note that the full mapping update for the whole of Europe is around 32GB of data...

iv bought a type c to USB adaptor and plugged in my USB stick with station logos on it but cant find how to add the logos on the new infotainment system. It was easy on the old system as it had SD slot in the glove compartment and a DVD player but they have been removed now so it has to be done a different way no one seems to know how to do it on the new system even the dealership where i got the new car didn't know.

You have to wait for the car to do it itself.
You will get a pop up screen letting you know an update is availiable when you power on the car one day, and a button to let it update.

You should have one possibly two USB ports, and maybe wireless charging depending on MY and what country your in.
