Charged with deceit?

Post by JamieK » Mon Sep 14, 2020 6:16 pm

Just browsing Youtube for Kodiaq info and came across this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONHlMZqK3YI

Couple of things I didn't realise. Firstly, I thought the UK Edition trim had been dropped and was available from stock only, so very surprised to see a 21MY with new steering wheel and what looks like updated infotainment software.

But even more surprised to see it's an electric car :o

Took me a minute to work out what was actually going on. Hope you're not as thick as me.

Edit - Oops!!! It was the alloys and electric driver's seat that threw me, it is of course an SE-L. Alloys and seat must have been specified as options.

Erm, at the risk that you're just posting as a wind up and I've fallen for it hook, line and sinker (like the mug I am!!), the dealership chain is called "All Electric, Birmingham" - they don't sell only electric cars and this one isn't either. It's got a DSG gearbox for starters, which wouldn't be necessary on a purely electric vehicle. I'm pretty sure Skoda would have made more of an all-electric Kodiaq as well!

From the All Electric ŠKODA website:
"Welcome to All Electric Garages ŠKODA in Kings Heath, Birmingham
ŠKODA car dealer in Kings Heath, Birmingham Family run business for over 50 years.

Great saving's on New and used Skoda's

Wind up ??? :o I think I made it quite obvious I realised what was going on, but at first, yes I thought to myself it was an electric powered vehicle.

What sort of garage calls themselves "Allelectricvehicles" and doesn't sell a single electric vehicle? What next, a dealership who call themselves "Birmingham Jaguar" who're based in Leeds and sell Hondas? Feck'n idiots. I'd feel like a right tool driving along my diesel Kodiaq with a sign on the back saying AllElectricVehicles - might as well debadge 'SKODA' and replace it with 'TESLA'.

If you read the All Electric Garages ( not all Electric Vehicles) website they were established as one of the UK’s first electric petrol stations in 1917.
Candy White 2.0 TSi SE L 7 seat. Heated windscreen/ nozzles, kids pack, front rear parking sensors, reversing camera and spare wheel, Milotec rear bumper inserts.
And for the winter months: 17” Black alloys with 215x65x17 Nokian WR SUV3 winter tyres.

Kenny is quite correct regarding 'All Electric Garages' They were the first garage in England to pump petrol electically and have workshop equipment electrically powered.
It is now de rigueur for Skoda dealers to puth their name on the boot lid.
