No criticism's thus far with 300 miles on the clock! All working beautifully and smoothly. My previous car was a 2014 Jaguar XF Sportbrake 3.0 S Diesel with an 8 speed auto box and the Kodiaq is fine in comparison.

Mine is really jerky often when driving slow at a pace of around 15-18 mph.

My Kodiaq is the Diesel 190 DSG Auto, without going through the list of extras it has, I would have thought I generalising! most of the gadgets I will never use.

Yes but this topic is about the 2.0 Tsi.

Its like being back at school, looking at the wrong black board, I shall now retire to the back of the class. never to be seen again.

Interesting review of the L&K 2.0TSI on the Autoexpress website:

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/kod ... -lk-review

Point of interest is their comment about the gearbox:-

"Our car’s petrol engine is incredibly quiet, and around town the DSG box takes the strain out of stop-start traffic. The transmission isn’t as proficient when you ask for sudden bursts of acceleration, but rewards gentle driving with seamlessly smooth shifts."

That pretty much matches my findings.

Thanks Tricky, I’m picking my 19 plate SE L 2.0 TSI 190 up on Saturday all being well, and all is quite quiet on negative reviews so fingers crossed.

I’ll pop a review up post collection to see how it compares to the outgoing VRS TDI DSG Octy.

I’m quite a sedate driver now so I’m hoping it suits my style, I’m looking for a moving armchair rather than going round corners on 2 wheels.

Thanks again

@tricky

i thought you said the DSG gearbox is crap & you couldn't live with it & your glad it's your wife's car?
Didn't see autoexpress say it was crap? only you!
@Aardvark, the sel 2.0tsi is a lovely refined drive and the cabin is a nice place to be, you won't be disappointed with the Kodiaq unlike some on here.

@wheelwright

If you want a spirited drive then I'm afraid it (the gearbox) is crap, its not the first magazine to point out the way the gearbox is configured is in contrast to the rather nice way the Kodiaq actually drives. If you want a more relaxed drive or don't expect to (or need to) get out of junctions quickly then its absolutely fine.

To me the gearbox is a major disappointment given the rest of the car (I entirely agree about the interior being lovely) and it would irritate me too much on a daily basis.
