If the Skoda app can locate your car from anywhere in the world,( with almost pinpoint accuracy btw), and holds data for any day as to distance travelled etc, there must be some way Skoda can provide you with data for the day in question.

I doubt Skoda would be interested in a relatively minor incident.
It's a 'Kodiaq' and not a 'Bear' unless you are 5 years old.

Skoda are legally obliged to give you a copy of all personal data they store for you. They can charge a “reasonable” fee to do this, and there’s no guarantee that the format of the data they give you will be that meaningful. It’s also entirely possible that they don’t keep location history for you - certainly the app can only give you the car’s last location.

I would have thought the easiest option is to find someone who can witness that you (and anyone else with access to the car) were where you claim to be. I would also imagine that it’s for the police to prove that you were where they claim.

Hi All,

Thanks for your contribution.

Just a quick update:

-- Police are in receipt of the NIP form we have sent back. As it has turned out it is not with a case officer yet as they are gathering data from other people. We were told that we should not expect anything in the next few weeks given that the Christmas recess is about to start.
-- Skoda HQ customer service has opened a ticket regarding my inquiry about the eCall/built in mobile communcation units. The request is now forwarded to specialists.

Curious minds need to know...
Did this issue get a satisfactory conclusion?
