When the Air Care function is activated on the air conditioning menu, the incoming fresh air and the proportion of recirculated air inside the passenger compartment are mixed and cleaned so that the quality of the air in the car remains stable at a constant high level and usage of the filter is optimised. In addition, an air quality sensor registers excessive levels of certain pollutants in the outdoor air and switches to recirculation mode if necessary, preventing your own exhaust gas or the smell of the washer fluid from entering the car.
Why doesn't Air Care turn on automatically? No idea, but I've seen somewhere that someone has coded it to permanently be on. EDIT: Found it.
Depends, you'll have to check the next time you start your car up. It'll be in the climatronic menu on the bottom bar. On my car it isn't automatically on, but as a few others here have said it's on for them. Those screenshots are to make it permanently on.
I switched it on but it seems the default is off. Can an instruction in English be obtained to default on?
