During the warm spell we had recently mine would tend to stick out a bit at the bottom, not as much as yours appears to, but mine seems fine now.
It is quite a big chunk of flimsy plastic.
Hi Professor - Mine does exactly the same. The fix is simple though. When you have the fuel door (rather than cap I think?!) make sure as you close it you align it to the 'receiving ' socket on the car.. You will see what I mean when you try it.
It will close flush when you do that - You shouldn't need to - but just take that extra second to align it every time you fill up.
Oh, what a star mantrahalos ! You are right it is hard to expalin but seems that the panel can close without being properly aligned and fully engaged with receiving socket and this is the result. If i slightly riase the panel on closing it you can see it properly engage with socket and then it closes flush.
We probably shouldnt need to do this tbh but it is no biggy.
