Perhaps my dealer is prepared to absorb the difference ?

I got a call back from ŠKODA customer services today with a build date update (although I have actually cancelled that order now) they said that it was still slated for wk35 but that due to WLTP certifications being delayed, that delivery wouldn’t be until mid November. Although this no longer applies to me, I thought that it might be useful for anyone in the dark at the moment or with a build date but no delivery date. The order was a 4x4 SEL 7 seat 2.0 tdi.

It’s worth a call to them if you need to check your order timescales I reckon.

Mine's in the country, at least. Still awaiting confirmation of the handover, it's looking like next week; then we're straight off camping...

Hi there, first post from me. I ordered on 27th March 2018 with an 8 to 10 (possibly up to 12) week delivery (mid June) and I have just been informed by the dealer that I now have a build week 38 showing, giving a mid October delivery! It's a good car but is it really going to be worth that sort of wait?

Ordered petrol Edition 4x4 on June 24. On July 30 got the week of production - 51 !!! Subsequent inquiries revealed the delay is not due to options selection, but rather due to the new certification of the petrol engines. Now I am awaiting updated info if I switch to diesel engine.
P.S. I am in Bulgaria, btw.
Just got updated to week 48
on order: 2.0 TSI 4x4, DSG, 5 seat Edition, Black Pearl, Digital instrument panel.

I explained my order situation in a question to the Daily Telegraph's 'Honest John' yesterday and earlier today received this reply:

"This is all to do with the change from the unrealistic 11 kilometre NEDC emissions and fuel economy drive cycle to the more realistic 23 kilometre WLTP drive cycle being imposed from 1st September. It has caused massive headaches, massive delays and a colossal loss of money for everyone in the motor industry, including us because when cars cannot be obtained manufacturers stop advertising."

That's it then...........blame the politicians and wait for our cars.

I have my Kodiaq! I did about 200 motorway miles and have already fallen for the ACC system. If you're happy to go with the flow, it removes almost all the stess of motorway driving. No chance to take any sunlit photos yet.Image
