Very pleased to join the club!

Post by J-R » Fri Feb 01, 2019 11:02 am

Hi all,

I've been reading this forum for the past few weeks, since ordering my new Kodiaq. I am pleased to make my first post here, after taking possession of the car yesterday!

I bought the 2019 Kodiaq 2.0 TDI DSG7 2WD "Style" edition (I am in Israel) in metallic silver, which contains the following specs/features:

Keyless entry & start
Automatic engine stop & start
Steering wheel gear change paddles
Leather-wrapped steering wheel & gear shift
Alcantara + leather seats
Adaptive cruise control
Speed limiter
8-inch touch display screen (Bolero)
Color screen trip/systems computer
Auto climate with 3-zone temp control (2 front + rear)
Rear AC vents
10-color inside ambiance lighting strips on inside of doors
8 speakers
Front jacks: 2 USB, AUX, SD Card, 12V, 230V
Rear jacks: USB, 12V, 230V
Integrated steering wheel controls
Bluetooth phone integration/speakerphone
Wireless cellphone charging pad
4 electric windows (can all be opened or closed via remote)
Electric driver seat with 3 memories
Electric folding side mirrors (auto upon lock/unlock)
Convenience side lighting built into both side mirrors
Electric rear hatch open/close (from inside, hatch and remote)
18" alloy wheels
Full LED headlights with AFS and automatic height adjustment
Full LED rear lights
LED daytime running lights
Front and rear foglights
Automatic lighting modes (daylight, coming home, leaving home)
Automatic high beam dipping
Pop-out headlight washers
Rain-sensing wipers
Rear window wiper with washer
Self-darkening mirrors
9 airbags (including driver's knee airbag)
Stability control, ABS, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA safety systems
Automatic front-collision warning plus emergency auto-braking
Lane departure warning/control
Individual tire pressure warning
Front & rear parking sensors
Reverse camera with spray washer
Blind spot warning system
Rear traffic warning/breaking system
Driver fatigue sensing/alarm
Electronic parking break with automatic hold/release
Tinted rear windows
Built-in roll-up rear window shades
Retracting door guards
Umbrella slots in both front doors (umbrellas included)
Roof rails
Chrome surrounds for all four door windows

I did not pay extra to receive the larger engine, 4WD or "Exclusive" package features:

Sunroof
All-leather seats
360-degree camera
Virtual pedal for hands-free rear hatch open
19" allow wheels

Here's a pic of the beauty:

I have some questions which I'm hoping you guys can help me with, will send them separately in the appropriate forums.

Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Oh, and by the way, this is the first diesel and first non-Japanese car I've bought it my 30+ years of owning cars! (4 Toyotas, 3 Mazdas, 2 Hondas and 2 Nissans)! I love their reliability, but when my wife insisted we get a 7-seater, it was an easy choice between my last two candidates (Skoda Kodiaq vs. Nissan X-Trail) -- here's hoping that it was a great decision! :)
