Spacers for Skoda Kodiaq

Post by smgrega » Fri Mar 01, 2019 12:24 pm

Hy everybody,
i'm interested in adding spacers at front and back wheels. Now there are 19" wheels. I'm thinking adding 15mm at front, and 20mm at back. Does any of you has any experience with that?
Thanks

Better check your insurance and whether the warranty will be invalidated.
Kodiaq SE 1.4 TSI, 2WD, Manual gearbox, 5 seater, Petrol blue, absolutely standard, no extra toys.
My best car in 55 years of driving, including my previous Superb. :)

What is the reason you want to run spacers ? What wheels are they ?

Dear Carlos Fandango, ;)
Why would you?
It will, almost without doubt invalidate warranty & insurance, if you dont tell them and they might decline to cover you.
Apart from that it will more than likely bugga your wheel bearings.

As they will be classified as a performance modification then it will be insurance company dependant so check before you mod. From what I can see (assuming you’re in the U.K.) companies like Admiral don’t charge for theses minor mods.

That said I would never use Admiral Insurance for anything, a nasty horrible company to deal with, avoid at all costs ( threatened and tried to intimidate me after their driver piled into the back on queuing traffic in which my car got shunted - they accepted 100% liabilty but when I refused to accept their accident management service they because vindictive - calling me 4 or 5 times a day telling me that I didn’t need a courtesy car, I would pay £1,000’s for a hire car, my insurers wouldn’t cover my costs etc. - told them to go away and took them for every penny I could..).

Anyway back to the point, nobody has answered the question.....
It's a 'Kodiaq' and not a 'Bear' unless you are 5 years old.

Im from Slovenia, no problem with warranty. I want them becouse sportline looks like a cage without them, and the car is more stable. Wheels are 235/50R19

I thought the Sportline had 20” Vega anthracite alloy wheels as standard and not 19’s. Must be the difference in markets.
