Sun visor fell off!

Post by burko73 » Sat Nov 21, 2020 8:21 pm

Hi

I just moved my drivers side sun visor yesterday to block the sun coming in from the side of the car and on moving it back it came off in my hand.

I bought the car when it was a yr old and have had it 2 and a half yrs so its out of warranty.

It looks like the little metal clips that hold it in have been bodged before (by the previous owner?) and the corresponding plastic bit that is on the end of the visor arm itself is a little broken.

Does anyone know where I can get the bracket/ fixing from without buying a whole new sun visor or going to a main dealer who will want to charge me hundreds?

I’m not sure how much they are in common across the VAG range, but AliExpress sells both replacement clips and indeed entire visors - for example:

Many of these are just say Skoda, and don’t say which. Some mention Skoda, but then list Audi models in the details. So you would need to measure up your existing parts and see what matched.
