Thanks for all that - it’s so tempting, but I’m still in the hands of the dealer even if I buy one from that website - it says current airbag unit can be used but I can’t guarantee the dealer will say that etc, I’m not gonna gamble, thanks again tho folks.

Take it to an independent VAG specialist

I haven’t done this yet but I bought a flat bottom wheel off eBay when I had a L&K superb 3. I fitted it without any issues. I removed it when I did a part ex for the Kodiaq.
It looks as if it will fit the Kodiaq there is much of the superb3 used on the Kodiaq.
