# UPDATE #

So I've resorted to emailing the area manager of Skoda and 3hrs later, he got the sales manager of the branch to contact myself and get this sorted.

I was asked to email a copy of my driver's license and within 5 mins, all done. I can now remotely lock and unlock my Kodiaq using the Skoda Connect App.

Under the 'Profile' tab on your Skoda connect portal, it now says 'User Profile verified'. All functions works as it should.

Turns out all he had to do was log onto the VW group portal using their dealership ID and punch in my license number linking it to my account.


It seems the problem I was having was untrained staff and unhelpful employees working in the service department.

I don't think those features are supposed to work. I went to the dealership and gave them a copy of my DL but it made no difference.
It may be that many of the features on the app are just aspirational. Seems like one of the worst car apps around to be honest.
