I believe it might have something to do with Google Earth and/or Google Street View that provide life-like satellite images and 360° panoramic views of your surroundings...
For Amundsen the map file is "only" 12 GB.

I don't think so - doesn't the car need a data connection for Google Earth?

... more like look what I found on Briskoda and then posted on here LOL
Don't be ridiculous. I've done online updates without knowing what Briskoda is. Btw, what is it? Some kind of biscuit you eat at 5 o'clock? :D
Funny you managed to come up with the phrase 'tried and tested' independently then in relation to adaptations :)

Also funny how Romanv also posted in the thread on Briskoda about this 2 days before posting it here :)

It doesn't hurt to credit somewhere else as a source.

:)

Some people just don't like getting caught plagiarising :)

I've no problem with the fact you posted on here as well, my initial post did have a big smiley at the end :)

My new Kodiaq is being built BW50 so be interesting to see what the changes are (if any) with MY18.5 vehicles compared to my current MY18.

The Columbus has 3D city mapping, the Amundsen doesn't. There has always (since the introduction of the MIB units in early 2013) been a similar difference in size between the two sets of maps.

As far as I can see, for the Bear, Briskoda is basically a dead zone made up of copies of threads on here anyway :P

Dead zone - yes - it isn't very active at all on Briskoda for the Kodiaq
Copies of threads from here? - can't say I have noticed, but I have seen some of my Briskoda content copied on here :)
For some reason the url and name of this forum are blocked on Briskoda, so you couldn't link or credit a source from here anyway. Someone must have peed off Colin D on Briskoda at some point.
There are a lot of members of both forums and more does seem to get posted on here.

This forum has more activities and should be the primary one for Kodiaq owners.
