Clean black Sportline

Post by mrcraigcharlton » Mon Apr 02, 2018 8:27 pm

Really loving this car, although had to disable the virtual pedal as it was too sensitive when emptying the boot - cue door and head collision! 2.0TSI is great, quiet and punchy enough. There’s loads of space and it feels really well bolted together.

O.m.g

I assume the difference between yours and a normal SE L kodiaq is the bodywork? Out of interest how much extra is said bodywork?

Looks great.

Just a question .. it seems the sportline gets a lot of love and the scout none, why dont you guys like the scout as much?

Sportline comes with black grill, black roof rails, black mirror caps, body colour lower front and rear bumper and side sills (instead of plastic) and various badges. 20” wheels are probably a big chunk of the extra money. Interior gets sports seats, carbon fibre trim and squared off sports wheel.

In all it’s about £4K more than a SEL if memory serves. You can probably buy it all separately but I hate to imagine the cost (wheels are nearly £2k alone from what I’ve seen).

As for the scout, it’s a design line with little interest. If people want a proper off roader they’ll go buy one. A soft roader made to look like an off roader doesn’t make much sense, to me at least. It also doesn’t look as dramatic as the sportline so isn’t as popular.

Just being honest! I’ve seen a few in show rooms and just don’t get the attraction to it. The silver trim on the front looks terrible and all the off road bits aren’t worth the money. This is all my own personal opinion of course! :)
