Long story short, I was told there was a fault on my brand new car and the motor needed replacing on one of the boot struts. Went to pick up car eventually today and got home and kitted out boot ready for dogs with duvet, etc. Locked car while I went indoors and when I went out again 5 minutes later, boot would not open. Not with remote, not with button by driver and not with button on boot. Checked and double checked nothing stuck in the closing by climbing in through rear doors. Dashboard image shows red area at boot closure. You can hear the boot trying to open, but nothing happens. Anyone got any ideas? Obviously have informed garage by email but they've all gone home. Big day tomorrow with a lot of commitments, so any ideas welcome. Thank you.

Red area means it isn't shut?

Emergency opening method is in the online manual
