On collecting the car I asked for the park assist to be demonstrated.
I had to go away with no successfully demo. :x

From further research on you tube.
Some show the Second button from left being pressed.
The manual shows the third button from the left. This also activates the area view.
Some vids show the indicator being on for the road side kerb you want to find a space.

I also paid extra for a tow bar and that option includes Trailer assist.
I have not tried that yet but suspect i will not work if park assist dose not.

Video from my local dealer. Press the button with P and the steering wheel on it and indicate to the side you want to park on. The second one shows the two other ways it can park.

Not sure about Skoda / VW, in my previous Mercedes E class, the parking functionality is similar to the video. If the parking spot is on the left (RHD car), then it automatically looks for a parking spot. However, if the space is on the right, I had to switch the right indicator on to tell the car to look for space on the right.

Thanks guys,I tried all the above to no avail so I have requested a technical person at the dealer , Hughs in Aylsbury.

Also the virtual tail gate dose not work, no surprise there, but it cost extra so I want it to.

AND I want to know how it reads and displays road signs, Any one else got a display?
If it dose not display what is the point of having it.

I found out why my PARK ASSIST will not work, I have not got it!

I have got the button but it dose not do anything.
Park assist was not on the order form that I signed or on the factory build sheet.
Nobody knows why I have the button.

I do have trailer assist and a tow hook and the rear park sensors but that dose not include the side sensors that the park assist needs.
Not tried the trailer assist yet.

Just out of interest I did find this sight that offered a park assist kit, plus a lot of other toys,
We wondered if fitting would invalidate a warrantee.
Anyway, I don't think I am that bothered
