Hi guys,

I just joined the forum. I placed my order for my new Skoda Kodiaq SE Technology on Monday... only 14 weeks to go

Interested to here from anyone else who has this model to see how it differs from the SE.

Cheers,
Brett.

Welcome to the forum.
I do believe you may be the first SE Tech.
Do give your opinions when you have got used to it.

Oh really? Hope that's not a bad sign?

It was offered to me at the same price as the SE so was a no brainer. Looking forward to getting it.

Not really a bad sign at all. Basics of a car are its engine and mechanical parts and 4 wheels (of which the kodiaq is superb), anything above that is superfluous although granted people consider "extras" as necessities. Someone with a SE has basically the same car as someone with the top trim, but you also get what you pay for (top extras such as suspension control stuff etc will make it better). For me, for example, I could have made do with 5 seater SE trim 1.4 (150hp) but the extras I wanted it may financial sense to go to SE L

For me, it's all about the engine (reliability vs performance vs running costs)

Yea I needed diesel pulling power, 4x4 and fancied the DSG after I test drove it. Having a few free extras thrown in was great.

Also don't think I've seen any Energy Blue as it's the new colour. Thought I'd give that a go and bonus it was free!

Quick update...if anyone is interested.

Been in to dealer today for a final sign off of some paperwork and manager confirmed I'm currently sitting at BW21 and estimated hand over on 30/06/2018. Puts it currently 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Woo!

My car is now officially built and waiting at the port in Emden as far as I've been informed. The long wait is almost over! :D :D :D

You're in the final straight now :) The wait for the car to arrive feels very long!! I'm sure that the wait will be worth it. I've had mine a few weeks now, and absolutely love it.

It's now in UK port! So close I can almost touch it! Next I've to decide on Diamondbrite treatment for interior and exterior for £199. Anybody had it done?

Sat in my car today! Woohoo! And managed to get a few pictures. Picking it up on Saturday! The wait is almost over! That will be just over 9 weeks from order to collection. Well ahead of the predicted 14 weeks.

No idea how to attach pictures. :?

Upload them to Imgur (photobucket won't let you share html). I can only seem to then post them from my laptop as I can't see how to do it from my mobile. It should be obvious how to share it on here from the options it gives you. Colin can do it and he's almost 100 years old so you should be fine.

Yea I actually really like the colour now that I've seen it in the flesh. Wasn't too sure as it's the new standard colour but knew I was happy with blue. Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow.

Aye I've got the old standard blue and I was worried that it would look hibs but it isn't bad at all.
