Some time ago there was a post re- the ignition switch (button).being temperamental and failing to start or stop the engine My Kodiaq is now 3.5 yrs old and is suffering the same problem. Sometimes it works okay and other times its a pain, so just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and whether its repairable or needs a replacement switch and at what cost.

Have a look at post #8 on this thread:
Ignition problem.
Seems it's possible there's a fault inside the switch, but if you find someone who knows what they're doing, it might be possible to fix it without replacing the switch. I'm sure a main dealer will just replace with new though if you take it there.
