I have terrible roads around where I live. I wouldn't presume this affects my area alone.
At least it keeps the yobs from tearing up and down the streets like it's the Monaco GP, so it's not all bad.

But manoeuvering around the various dips and bumps I notice these very faint "static clicks" to my right (UK right hand drive). Like the kind you get from your audio system when you play(ed) vinyl records, but nowhere near as frequent as that. Maybe once every 20 seconds or so on average?

Initially I thought this was caused by static buildup in the the audio system, but I am pretty convinced now that these clicks come from the ceiling liner.
Probably from being contorted ever so slightly by the car itself as it twists itself to the shape of the surface underneath.

It's not bad enough for me to take it back to the dealers. And once on a smooth road you won't hear them.

Try pushing the roof lining up where you think the sound is coming from. There may be a loose clip.
