I hope all those bears there won't get the same destiny as the cats in Australia ;)
I think the Bears will be fine, but the cats are also a problem here in NZ as well. The escaped / abandoned cats destroy many of the native bird life. New Zealand was one of the few places on earth to have no native land mammals, except for a couple of bat species. (Seals are sea mammals.)

i'm getting Ambition Plus too (Tauranga). are they quite thirsty ?
I guess it depends on what you want to compare the fuel economy with. My Ambition+ has just over 3000 k's, on an expressway trip it Auckland I was able to get 6.5l/100km. On a trip from Taumarunui to Wanganui , climbing up to 820m and back to sea level, on a twisty road I averaged 7.8l/100km. Both trips were three adults and two children. Compared to my V8 ML500 that is about half the fuel usage. I am happy. I have not needed anymore power and the ride is so comfortable sometimes I am the only one awake in the car because everyone else has fallen asleep.
