Perhaps the later builds have the new mechanism??
If so, it would be nice if they told those whose guards have pinged off!
At nearly 15 months old I doubt mine has the new mechanism....

Re: Door protection thingy. Gripped. UPDATE. Page 5.

It's the usual situation. Those with a problem make a noise about it (and I'm not saying they shouldn't) but the silent majority who don't have any problems don't make a noise. I suspect it is still a small percentage that have issues. It not even be anywhere near the most common issue either i.e. t...

Re: Door protection thingy. Gripped. UPDATE. Page 5.

Well done! They know damn well this is a faulty piece of kit otherwise why would they be bringing out a modified mechanism, although it seems to be taking an inordinate amount of time. Strange that the Karoq has never had them. Not so 'Simply Clever'! Anyone with this problem DO NOT BE BULLIED INTO...

Re: Potential price increases

It think it's just more Project Fear. Corporate attempts to alter public opinion.

I don't think it would be legal to change the price on an order that is already placed anyway.

Certainly if they tried to do it to me I'd walk.

Re: FInally cleaned it for a picture!

Thinking of buying exactly the same colour combo. How have you found the beige interior for showing dirt / wear etc? Not quite the same but I had an Audi A4 2.5TDi Sport Quattro which had a cream leather interior etc. I was quite concerned to start with about how it would handle a little dirt over ...

Re: Fitting Rear Dash Cam

I have a 512GW installed with the rear camera too.

I'll take some photos tomorrow and ask Beardface who fitted it for some notes as soon as I can.

Re: Breadface has ripped my door protector off!

The part numbers are not identical, each door has its own part number. But why is the left rear more expensive than the other three? Apologies. I didn't check the middle digits. As to why the one is expensive I can only think either they sell less than the others so their unit purchase price is hig...
