Re: Engine re mapping

I doubt the validity of your information about VAG remapping after a "run in" period (but am happy to be proved wrong). Mine is certainly feeling like it is loosening up a little and its only on 2400 miles, so I guess yours is just further along :) FWIW when I had the petrol vRS, the only thing that...

Re: Speed cameras

I disabled the ding because I was getting fed up with it  You can see them coming up on the nav screen in plenty of time, if you don't mind having that showing. It does generally show most locations, but has missed a couple, one on a regular route of mine that I knew about, and one while on hol...

Re: Traffic Jam Assist - does it work for you

Presumably if ALG and LA are enabled, TJA would be on the same screen if it was available ?
In which case I don't have it, and if you have a wk22 build and don't have it, presumably its not part of the UK spec for Editions.
But could possibly be enabled with VCDS ?

Re: Data SIM 3

I use mine but infrequently, just had a week of use, but also 2 of the kids playing online on tablets a lot on the 320 mile journey there and back so the 3 gb I used in a week isn't representative ! (and I probably used some of that out and about as the sim is in my phone, teathered when in car.) I ...

Re: Traffic Jam Assist - does it work for you

I think I have TJA ? I have an ALG option on the screen, but greyed out as I disable lane assist because I don't like it  I am a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to certain car tech, I do love the ACC, but still don't trust it 100%, my foot often hovers near the brake pedal, and when traffic on...

Re: Consumption

Yep after my trip to Scotland, the front wheels are covered in brake dust, doesn't look as bad on dark colours but still noticeable ! Another note on fuel consumption, having had a very traffic filled return trip, with a lot of the inexplicable 20-30 mph, stop for 30 seconds shuffle forward 100 yard...

Re: Let down by wind and traffic noise

I guess you could test drive a Ford edge, that has active noise cancellation to compare against your Honda.

Re: She is now at her new home !

I'll have to fix the photomuppet links at some point, on hols atm so not got access to fast internet or my photo edit software. But I liked this moody shot I took one evening at our stunning holiday house in the Scottish Borders. I managed to downsize the 4k image to HD at least, probably got some l...
