Re: About to pull the trigger 1.5 SE L Kodiaq (w/toys)

I don't think the handbook translates very well from Czech! I think they mean the vehicle never a true 4wheel drive.
better than Honda books translated from Japanese though!

Re: About to pull the trigger 1.5 SE L Kodiaq (w/toys)

I wasn't aware any Skoda had an off road button. The 'S' on the gear lever quadrant
is SPORT mode, not snow. It. just holds the gears longer before changing up and guzzles petrol!! (Assuming it is DSG gearbox of course).

I never had a 4wd Kodiaq, but my 4wd Karoq did NOT have an off road button. The 4wd system is Haldex. it is fully automatic. You cannot turn it on or off as you can in serious off roaders. If either or both the front wheels spin the Haldex will kick in and power up the rear wheels. Many 'soft' roade...

Re: First Kodiaq arriving this week (early!)

Welcome, both of you, to the forum. It is so sad that LR have gone down the pan re reliability. I had 2 series III (long and short) and 2 Early Discos. All were faultless. In spite of the Series having done galactic mileages. Judging by the motoring press I don't think I would have one as a present ...

Re: Rear disc and pads gubbed

Jay cee!! When I first looked at your pic I thought the outer circumference had cracked away , but obviously it is the shield behind. If I remember correctly you live in Scotland, don't you? Near the coast?? It looks to me like salt water corrosion. The rim is unbelievable at such low mileage. If th...
