Re: Skoda adds virtual cockpit (official)

At last an 'official' release on virtual cockpit on the Skoda range.... but autocar quoting that it won't be available on Kodiaq range until later this year costing £450 https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/skoda-adds-virtual-cockpit-option-its-larger-models "For the Kodiaq, specifying it on...

Re: Living with an SE

My phone doesn't get turned off, except for the v. occassional running completely out of power. I don't have a SIM lock but do have a screen lock. The phone / car combination is rubbish at remembering the bluetooth connection details - I'm constantly being asked to allow the car to access my contact...

Re: Solving The Problem Of Media Streaming From High Capacity Hard Drives

In the UK mobile data is expensive £/Gb so for video streaming on the move local media is preferable. Usually the kids will download their media prior to a long journey onto their tablets, but failing that I have a small Plex server running from a "WD My Passport 1Tb". Occassionally they forget and ...

Re: Living with an SE

I use AndroidAuto with a Google Pixel phone and 9 times out of 10 it's fine but sometimes the phone won't connect so then you either faff around disconnecting and reconning your USB or revert back to the built in satnav.

Re: Tow car - Edition in Petrol Blue with Black wheels

Thanks Alan, I'm really glad I planned to do without the car for a few days whilst they did the wheels, I'm really pleased with them.

Re: TPMS

That looks like a complicated solution, though no doubt neat once implemented. I'm happy with my OEM solution, I had the sensors fitted when I had my wheels painted https://www.gearbest.com/reversing-rada ... id=1433363

In case it helps. I ordered area view, and trailer assist but not park assist. I do have a park assist button though I haven't tried it out.
You use the Park assist button to enable the tow assist, but it only works when you are towing.

Re: Coolant

Just after hitting 12k miles (8 months old) I had to top-up coolant and oil, took me by surprise but not a biggie. Was good to see the oil spec was the same as my old superb so was able to use oil that I'd bought previously, but the coolant I bought specially from a local shell garage.
