Re: Is The Kodiaq Really Suitable For The UK Market ???

Wow, some quite blunt, if not brutal responses here. The OP has a point, many cars sold to UK markets have functions and features that are created on the basis that they are going to be installed in a left hand drive vehicle. Obviously, we compromise and, personally, I have no issues with using the ...

Re: Car Insurance costs

My renewal with esure was for over £300. I shopped around and got a quote, with full legals ( that is a must for me) for £184..... I'm now with Quote Me Happy. Isn't it amazing that we can insure a big SUV worth over £30k for less than £200 p/a? I wonder if that is age related? I don't mind reveali...

Re: Skoda recommends us to carry oil

Mine ( 1.4 ) was recently in for a 'service' even though the car is not a year old till September the 14th and has done under 6000 miles. The display was telling me that the service was due...... I rang my dealer to question why it was due a service on such a low mileage when, to be fair, I am quite...

Re: Why so many pre-owned on the market

99% of the 'pre owned' vehicles will have been registered by the dealerships to hit targets, that is a given. I also suspect that, as the Kodiaq is such a new model, Skoda have done a big push on the dealers to bring them in and sell them on to ensure that they become more numerous on the streets. T...

Re: Intermittent starting failure

Latest on mine. Still haphazardly taking a while to start. When I say a while it is 4-5 turns but that only seems to happen when I unlock with keyless entry . It does sometimes occur when I unlock with the fob but not as often, maybe 1 in 10. Also had an issue where if I got out, locked car and wal...

Re: Boot opening/closing problems anyone?

Apart from you penultimate line. I concur ENTIRELY with your comments and your frustrations. Now the 'Connect' app won't work on my 'phone WTF?? Unfortunately at 6'2" with a bad back I cannot get into/out of an Octavia without banging my head on the A pillar. I tried on a very nice demo L&K,...

Re: Boot opening/closing problems anyone?

Right..... I LOVE my Kodiaq, it is fabulous, comfortable, quick, handles superbly etc etc. It is all the car I have ever desired in a daily, functional vehicle. But....... Today, I am at my son and daughter in laws home, the car is parked out on the road, 30 ish metres from the front door. I look o...

Re: Diesel vs Petrol

Er. ... there Is NO existing restriction in London which affects whether you buy a petrol or diesel Kodiaq. Nor is any planned, so far. So, let's be careful about what we are calling FACT. There is indeed some existing restriction on older diesel vans, lorries and motorhomes. Beyond that, other thi...

Re: Diesel vs Petrol

Until it actually happens it's not a fact. You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts! It is happening in London, it has happened in London. Fact. There is a whole plethora of legislation out there that hits the diesel engine harder than the petrol, misguided or not. Not MY facts...
