Re: Why so many pre-owned on the market

99% of the 'pre owned' vehicles will have been registered by the dealerships to hit targets, that is a given. I also suspect that, as the Kodiaq is such a new model, Skoda have done a big push on the dealers to bring them in and sell them on to ensure that they become more numerous on the streets. T...

Re: Intermittent starting failure

Latest on mine. Still haphazardly taking a while to start. When I say a while it is 4-5 turns but that only seems to happen when I unlock with keyless entry . It does sometimes occur when I unlock with the fob but not as often, maybe 1 in 10. Also had an issue where if I got out, locked car and wal...

Re: Boot opening/closing problems anyone?

Apart from you penultimate line. I concur ENTIRELY with your comments and your frustrations. Now the 'Connect' app won't work on my 'phone WTF?? Unfortunately at 6'2" with a bad back I cannot get into/out of an Octavia without banging my head on the A pillar. I tried on a very nice demo L&K,...

Re: Boot opening/closing problems anyone?

Today, I am at my son and daughter in laws home, the car is parked out on the road, 30 ish metres from the front door. I look o...

Re: Diesel vs Petrol

Er. ... there Is NO existing restriction in London which affects whether you buy a petrol or diesel Kodiaq. Nor is any planned, so far. So, let's be careful about what we are calling FACT. There is indeed some existing restriction on older diesel vans, lorries and motorhomes. Beyond that, other thi...

Re: Diesel vs Petrol

Until it actually happens it's not a fact. You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts! It is happening in London, it has happened in London. Fact. There is a whole plethora of legislation out there that hits the diesel engine harder than the petrol, misguided or not. Not MY facts...

It is staring everybody in the face that the diesel will be the first to fall when tough new meaures come in, it is fact not scaremongering, FACT. Until it actually happens it's not a fact. Re: Diesel vs Petrol

Yip. The silence of the petrolites is " DEAFENING" . Oh how quick they were to slam us dirty, unrefined, stinking, dieselers, when they, stupidly imho, slammed our choices. I did try to tell them but, oh no. I just hope their ditritus didnt sway too many people in the wrong direction. I wonder if a...

Re: Real MPG!?

Well, for the first time since owning the car, i had the full seven seats in use, 6 adults and 1 5 month old Granddaughter. A 200 mile round trip of, mainly fast ( ish ) A roads and Motorway and the fuel consumption wasnt too bad at all, I had switched to 'normal mode' for the journey. The real poin...

Driving in sport mode will guzzle fuel at an extraordinary rate.
I don't even know why they have a sport mode on an SUV.
Ive tried all modes, even the individual settings and Sport suits me better.
It sharpens the car up considerably.
Horses for courses and all that.
