Re: Options worth it- canton, heated windscree, ACC

ACC works great in a manual, usually only have it on during long drives and when in 6th gear though. Heated windscreen was great for me in February and March, just brushed off the snow without having to scrape. Tougher to say how much the windscreen helped with the heat, but subjectively, the steeri...

Re: Android Auto / Mirror Link - which phones

I use Andoid Auto on my OnePlus 3 with a sideloaded APK since it isn't officially available here in Sweden. It works fine, but I don't like how you can't seem to disable the default widgets. (Shared Spotify account with wife, if she's playing music and I plug in my phone, then her stream gets interr...

Re: SOS System Fault

Andy mentioned a wiring loom that needs replacing in another thread . For another user in Sweden, the GPS antenna was replaced. In my case, I went to a Skoda authorized service center and they told me that the dealership forgot to activate the ECU in the steering wheel. This wasn't something I could...

Re: Courtesy horn

While you're at it, some kind of rear-mounted messaging LED would be nice as well. Tell impatient drivers that you aren't moving because of oncoming traffic or you don't want to ram into pedestrians :P

Re: SOS alarm

Went to a service center this morning to have this issue checked out and picked up the car at lunch time. They say the issue had to do with an ECU in the steering wheel that the dealer had forgotten to activate.

Re: Tailgate opens by itself!

If you're getting an RFID pouch, note that many of them have an inner pocket that's metal-lined, and that's where you should place your keys or credit cards. I've seen a few comments with people complaining the pouches don't work, but they apparently placed their keys in the larger part which wasn't...

Re: Auto Braking - Fault Motorway

I had something similar a couple of weeks back, but I got a fairly audible beep. I was driving around 70km/h (43.5mph), then I heard a loud beep and the car braked rather harshly. There weren't any cars in front or behind me on my lane but there was one driving a bit erratically on the left (passing...
