Re: Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 diesel 150 bhp starting problems

Had my kodiaq for 14 months and around 3 wks ago it failed to start. Had to get jump leads to start it but decided to buy a battery booster from Halfords(as it turned out one of my best decisions) . Spoke to dealer and appointment was made to take car in to the garage. My car is a personal lease. H...

Re: Skoda Connect

If you are trying to use the phones data services through the Columbus then consider connecting your phone by Bluetooth as a business phone as it uses rSAP. This assumes your phone is compatible with rSAP.

Re: Airbag and SOS warning

I have only ever been stupid enough to let Halfords near my car audio, never again. My dear old Mum had them fit some windscreen wipers last year and they managed to get them wrong too. As a matter of interest, when having things like dash cams fitted via a specialist (or even Halfords) how does thi...

Re: First service today

I had a great experience today. I took my car in for its first service today, the day to include fixing the protector which had jammed open and then flew off when I shut the door. They tried to charge me £255 for new parts, stating Skoda only offers 6 months warranty on the protectors!! Am I being ...

Re: Kodiaq SE L Front Centre Speaker

I had the canton (good job it was free, I certainly wouldn't pay for it.) And the centre WAS a speaker. So can only conclude that supposition is correct. I actually think the Canton is pretty good for the relatively low cost (when not free). It’s not a high end system so at £400 which includes a £1...

Re: Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 diesel 150 bhp starting problems

Mine went into the dealer awaiting a new battery on back order... They have given me a 3.0tdi Toureg R Line as a replacement. That’s going to be hard to give back... When they lost my Kodiaq in Emden for a month they lent us a 3.0litre Q7, to be honest I didn’t really like it and as daft as it soun...

Re: Coast

I’m going to sit this one out, I have very strong views on coasting and last time it came up I got into trouble and my knuckles wrapped.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 diesel 150 bhp starting problems

Given what owners have said above, how long would you expect a Kodiaq battery to keep its charge when the car is not being used? And in particular, as the weather turns colder? We began to have issues with a 1.9TDi Octavia (2005 vintage) when leaving it for longer then 4 weeks whilst travelling abr...

Re: Pop goes a windscreen

If you do have lane assist and the camera system and you do need a new screen then you will need it recalibrating which includes full wheel alignment. This ain’t cheap (circa £200-£300 depending who is used). If you Have Skoda Ensurance (see below) you may be wise to use it. I got mine done via Auto...
