Re: Front bumper additional trim

Only thing to add is it may look better on your car as it’s silver, certainly does work on the one in the advert.

Re: Front bumper additional trim

I’m not a fan of the standard bumpers (up to Edition) And I have to be honest that I dislike the bumpers on the Scout even more (and the tacky wood effect inserts - I think they stole them from a 1980s Rover 200) however the eBay ones make it look 100% worse than the Scout. I would really avoid them...

Re: Platinum Grey

My existing Edition is Quartz Grey and I like it, not the most exciting colour but looks good clean and dirty. Just ordered a Sportline in the same colour (didn’t like the red, meteor grey looks like a battleship and black would be a nightmare to keep clean).

Don’t think you will be disappointed .

Re: How did your dealer do?

Hi, after 13k miles I am more than happy with Henrys Glasgow sales and service. Far superior to local Ford and Land Rover in North Glasgow. Mine went there for camera recalibration, it was there for over a week. Their after sales manager wasn’t very responsive and didn’t really seem interested in a...

Re: Potential price increases

I wonder if - in the eventuality of a hard Brexit and car forecourt prices jumping up 10% - if people in the UK will start importing their cars themselves again to save £ thousands. Like we did in the late 1990's and early 2000's. You could argue that if forecourt prices do increase due to high imp...

Re: Potential price increases

Standard clause in your contract (all of the cars including the Skoda I've purchased has a similar clause) "where the price of any goods is increased by the supplier of those goods we reserve the right to increase the price by the amount of such increase" - you do of course have the right to cancel...

Re: Potential price increases

Hi GG, I would not accept that! If the contract is signed prior to any known increases I suspect it would be very difficult for any vendor to pass those on to the consumer. This is the reason the main dealers are asking new customers (from 1st Jan 2019) to sign the waiver! There are clauses within ...

Re: Potential price increases

I have one on order but the price is guaranteed so if there is an increase I won’t see it.

Re: Skoda Connect

Steve 101, I use it all the time and went on to renew, purchased the follow on last year. Not sure what the latest Edition setup is but mine is 2017 BW39 with Columbus infotainment. I used a SIM in the slot in glove compartment for a while, worked a treat. SIM was an addition to my EE plan for abou...

Re: VRs Autoexpress video review

About 80 BHP? Sportline can be 190ps and vRS is 239ps so I make it only 49ps difference (48.33 bhp). You don’t get a 190BHP Sportline for £29,500... Nor do you normally get a 150ps with extras for that either, just pointing out the minimal increase in power for significantly more money.....
