Re: insurance? what do you pay?

Thanks Grumpy.. I persevered with LV but they don't recognise a 5 door variant. I tried Quote me happy who are lucky I don't report them for attempted theft at +£1000. I will try the Merkat you suggest as I like the stuffed toy.. well not toys!!. authentic Merkat doll! for grown ups! If this is cor...

Re: iPhone XS connection problems

Sometimes the issues relate to Apple using their own flavour of Bluetooth, not all Bluetooth devices are compatible with Apple products especially if they have revised their version of Bluetooth on that phone. It may take time and a software update on Columbus to catch up. I have an iPad as they are...

Re: Help, I've Bought A Fridge

Never had an issue with the keyless system apart from locking, I believe the sensor is under the indentation on the handle, touching that seems to work.

Re: I wonder what this will do for Skoda's plans?

I agree with this completely. They need to be putting this money towards actual solutions rather than half arsed box ticks. At this time electric is only a solution for people who make short trips and have the facility to charge it. I cant charge one at home even if I wanted too. As do many. My poi...

Re: My experience of start/stop and ECO mode

I don't like the stop/start and just turn it off every time I go out. I don't do many urban journeys so I really don't think it would save anything for me or the environment. However, I have noticed that on the rare occasions that I forget to turn it off it can stop the engine just before I come to...

Re: I wonder what this will do for Skoda's plans?

I agree with it. I know many people who went for the Outlander PHEV as a company card as its BIK's is only 5%. If they 30 miles out of a charge they are happy so most of the time they are running about in a big car drinking fuel. It would be cheaper and more economic to run a Euro 6 diesel and the ...

Re: New Kodiaq and insurance compare sites

My insurance was mid term so it was easier to transfer the insurance over to the new car (£15 admin cost), on renewal they actually worked out cheaper than anyone else. I took out the 7 day Skoda insurance as a stop gap as I still had my old car until I gave it back to the finance company (I love Th...

Re: Rear discs

At my 20k service I was also told the rear discs were showing severe scoring, nothing was required apart from keeping an eye on them.

Re: Do need skoda connect?

Only time I was impressed with it was when it emailed me telling me that the internal motion detector had triggered the alarm. It was my daughter messing around but that was pretty good, apart from that I don’t think it offers me much else. I second that. I like to sit in the kitchen, which convent...
