Re: PLEASE when you sign up to the forum

Hi all, Finally pulled my finger out and signed up. Took delivery 8th May 2017 of my black 190 SEL, now on 76k miles. First set of front tyres lasted 30k, then rears 60k! Replaced them all at that point to Michelin Cross Climates which have great wet weather performance. Have yet to test in snow, s...

Re: Gearbox issues

Here’s an exciting read: https://az749841.vo.msecnd.net/sitesengb/alv1/681e0567-9e39-4078-88de-df61013683c7/SKODA_Warranty_Terms_November_2018.59c8de521ff537083074db669bd4a47d.pdf That would suggest that it would be covered assuming you don’t fall foul of the exclusions in that document and those in...

Re: Hello and a question

Hahaha, this thread has taken an interesting turn...  I understand what you're saying, I'm sure that the majority of people are like that to be honest. I'd imagine that us petrolheads are a minority when compared with how many vehicles are on the roads. I would suggest the majority on he...

Re: Up to date 1.5 EVO 'Kangaroo' fix available.

Frankly. I wouldnt trust anything the average car salesmen told me. The number of times I have been given misinformation is legion. This is not what my dealer principal Told me. He just said there was "a bit of a delay" he has always been honest with me over the 10 years I have known him. He knows ...

Re: Up to date 1.5 EVO 'Kangaroo' fix available.

I was talking to a sales person today when I collect a new car, from their side they are not and cannot place orders on the 1.5TSi as there is a known issue across the whole VAG group. There was no suggestion that this would change in the near future.

Re: Hello and a question

Yes, but only that trim level, and only with diesel engines! I know VAG are still producing many cars using the 1.5TSI, but Skoda UK seem to be driving the Kodiaq upmarket by discontinuing the 5 seaters in more trims, and by not quoting prices for the 1.5TSI any more. As I've suggested before, I th...

Re: Hello and a question

Just an update to say that the sales guy got back to me and said basically the same as above, in that he hasn't been told anything about the 1.5 stopping and the order is still on as far as he's concerned. Typical, I obviously jumped the gun a little! Haha. It was useful to keep an eye on the MY20 ...

Re: Petition to remove £40k VED charge

If they brought it back now it would solve an awful lot of crime in this country  I actually had that very discussion with a guy who was ex-army (Falklands) and he disagrees strongly (as do the top rank of the military). The army only want people in there who *want* to be in there was his logi...
