Re: Oil

Had my Oil Service done last week at 7500 miles by Garland Motors Aldershot at a cost of £129.40, which included free health check. Also had 91R2 recall performed to update OCU control unit.

Re: Any sightings in your area?

I'm starting to see a few more around Farnborough now. There are 2 quartz grey ones, 2 white ones other than mine and a Cappuccino Beige one that seem to be within a 5 mile radius, not counting the local dealer demonstrators that is.

Re: How do I know if ACT is working?!

Cluke, as your car is a 1.4TSI DSG 4x4, which is the same as mine, your engine code does not have ACT support. I don't know why that is as the manual gearbox 1.4TSI 4x4 does have ACT support. As others have said though it only makes a very small amount of difference anyway so I'm not worried about n...

Pirelli Scorpion Verde tyres

I discovered something I didn't know about my Pirelli Scorpion tyres today they have pressure seal technology built into them. Only found out yesterday when I saw what looked like something stuck to the tread of the tyre when parked up. It turned out to be 10 nails that I had obviously driven over s...

Re: Is the petrol 1.4 enough for 2 adults + 3 kids and 4x4 ?

I drive a 1.4 TSI 150 BHP DSG 4x4 and carry 3 adults (not lightweights) and 3 greyhounds (average 32kg each) regularly. No problems with overtaking or power delivery as I find the DSG gearbox is good at keeping the engine in its sweet spot in normal or sport modes. I had a 2.0 TDI 140bhp Yeti before...

Re: Help me pick my engine and drive system

I have been driving my 1.4TSI Kodiaq for 7 weeks now and although far from being run in yet I've found it absolutely fine for power delivery and no problem with overtaking. 4 adults and two or three greyhounds do not cause any issues for the 1.4 engine either and the DSG gearbox is a very good match...

Re: Holiday travels

I use a Mountblanc head rest mounted dog guard in my Kodiaq which fits perfectly and is fully adjustable to fit. Used it previously in the Yeti I had too. I definitely keeps my two greyhounds firmly in the back of the car. Any chance of a picture of it fitted in the Kodiaq? Picture of it mounted in...

Re: ECO Vs Standard drive modes. Consumption.

Interesting that there's hardly any difference between the modes for consumption, but the drop off in performance is obvious Colin. I guess you are hoping for more improvement in the consumption figures as the engine beds in further, how many miles have you done now? Also what is your view of 95 ro...
