Brake Assist and Animals

Am I assuming incorrectly here that the car will pick up reasonable size animals on the road or near and apply Brake Assist. An issue where I live with Kangaroos and large Deer.

Coastal Wallaby Cape Conran, Victoria

Spotted this guy early one morning. Cape Conran is a Coastal park far east Victoria. Snakes, Large Lizards, Spiders, Kangaroos and Wallabies enough to give the British Backpacker the creeps.
