Re: 3 child seat problem!

I've got an isofix point in the front passenger seat as well. I would keep the Seat Alhambra though.

Re: What should be included as standard on a Kodiaq Edition and what would you change ?

It wasn’t a personal attack, just a statement that if you need to have technology to ensure your not speeding then perhaps you should not be driving. I stand by that. I don't think that's always the case. Sometimes, it can get a bit confusing when you're changing roads and have to watch out for a p...

The new Discovery is rated very highly and without being rude to Kodiaq owners is in a different league.
I don't think anyone will take offence, considering it costs twice that of the Kodiaq!

Re: What should be included as standard on a Kodiaq Edition and what would you change ?

I lived in the North East of Scotland for 6 years where I had to scrape the inside of the car windows and I never once felt the need for a heated windscreen. Blowers and a scraper is all you need. This was my thought until I bought a Fiesta few years ago. Defrosting the screen quickly was a revelat...

bigboss - a bit OTT in your needs. I think my requests are quite modest
Maybe a bit OTT, but you'll notice that most items in my list are safety features which I believe should be standard in all top of the line models.

Oh, and adaptive cruise control should be standard without a doubt.

Re: What should be included as standard on a Kodiaq Edition and what would you change ?

Having too many options as standard will increase the base price, and the Kodiaq is one of the most keenly priced cars in its class. L&K model can have all the toys as standard, but most of the features you've alluded to aren't something everyone wants. I certainly don't want a hard drive to store m...

So that example isn't a case of the manufacturer "watering down the beer".
Depends. Did Skoda lower the price of the Edition?
No idea. But also depends on whether Skoda actually has removed a part or has merely disabled a particular function to comply with the law.

Re: Opinions saught.

The OP asked in a broad sense if Skoda is "watering down the beer" by removing features which were once standard. The OP listed the PhoneBox as an example. I am not a moderator. And I too have in the past been quilty of hijacking. Do as you will. I am not saying another word. Promise. Yes, but ther...
