Re: Retrofit 3rd row of seats?

Don't think it's possible or worth the hassle.

Re: ACC behavior when car in front changes lanes

That is precisely why I do not want ACC on my car! You come to rely on it, until it plays up, and who knows what then! It's meant as an aid, not to replace the driver. As with many driving aids, you have to be prepared to intervene if the tech doesn't do its job. The vast majority of my journey was...

Re: ACC behavior when car in front changes lanes

Was the car ahead stationary? ACC doesn't work for stationary objects but responds to cars slowing down. All cars are metals, so I don't think the ACC sensor gets affected by it Nope. We were doing 50-ish mph and the car in front slowed with engine braking. Interesting! Maybe one of the gremlins.

Re: ACC behavior when car in front changes lanes

Today I noticed an issue with my ACC. I was driving in a section of roadworks on the motorway with heavy metal barriers to my right (RHD car) and it didn't seem to detect the car in front - almost rammed into it but I braked. My point being, I wonder if metal barriers interfere with ACC radar or so...

Re: New Kessy security rating.

O&G ( Isee you are almost as old as I am  ) ! I find Kessy quite useful but not essential but like you, don't get me wrong I do like tech but I can do without most of the electronic cr*p that cars are fitted with these days. The most ridiculous car for over tech-ing that I have owned (and go...

Re: New Kessy security rating.

Just get a metal key cabinet for home to store your car keys. Job done.

Re: Is park pilot/ parking aid different to park assist?

No, area view camera does not mean park pilot. You can see the area around you to help you park, but the car will not guide you to park. That’s surprising, since the (much cheaper) rear view camera does provide guidance. It will identify the space, show it on screen, and then show you when and how ...
