I've gone for the used route and found one on Gumtree. When the time comes to move it on, I won't be taking a great loss. However hiring is possible (see link).

Re: 2.0 TSI engine for new Kodiaq
I've done close to 8000 miles and averaged since start 39.8mpg. A lot of it happens to be getting rid of the 19" stock tyres in December for 17" "winters" which has made so much difference.

Re: Dash Cam SD cards
Most dashcam manufacturers advise on reformatting the card more often than once annually. Personally, I reformat mine every other week.

Re: Ordered this very afternoon.......!
Colin, re: price reductions - who pays RRP really? Well I'm afraid I did apart from a £500 loyalty/25th Anniversary gift from my dealer matched by Skoda U.K . Being an early adopter (I ordered it unseen and untried on the 22nd December 2016) For cars ordered before February 2017 Skoda Factory gave ...

Re: SE 7 Seater after market Tow Bar debacle - beware
Without going into the finer details, I had aftersales issues with Winchester Motor Group and a warranty claim which they tried to blame on me. I got a second opinion from another dealer and Skoda UK were gracious about it and covered the costs. What helped was that I had a paper trail of evidence &...

Re: Kodiaq on steel rims ("poverty spec")
You do need to inform your insurance just in case. According to the ABI, as long as you are using the recommended sizes then it is not treated as a modification. However, if you put alloys on with winters some will treat it as a modification as you have put different alloys on - depends on your ins...

Re: Uncomfortable driver seat
With 8+ months driving, the driver's seat with electrical adjustment lacks thigh support for me. I could compensate for this in most my previous cars. The lumbar support adjustment is also fairly restricted. I ordered at a time when there wasn't a demo that could be road tested. Now living with it, ...

Re: Damaged Door Handle (Exterior)
A "smart repair" is your likely most cost effective fix. With a handle replacement, it will likely come primed but you will then need it colour matched to the door which adds to the expense.

Nice paint colour.
I have found that a 52mm plain plastic cap over the centre hub finished my winter steels a treat and ultimately didn't go for the Borneo hubcaps.
