Re: SEL supplied without front parking sensors

Thanks for the responses. Checking via the MySkoda app the production date was 22nd May confirming it is a MY2019 and was clearly not "just leaving the factory" as I was told by the dealer. I am currently waiting for them to come back to me around fitting the front sensors which they seem to accept...

Re: SEL supplied without front parking sensors

And if it has a Skoda badge rather than 'Skoda' written along the back then that's a tale tale sign that it's a MY19 versus MY20 respectively, which would mean that it wouldn't have had the front sensors as standard equipment.

Re: Can ACC be unlocked?

The radar is the same one for ACC users, but the ACC function is locked (obviously) but much more than the usual VCDS mods. Compatibility of your CAN Gateway and ABS module need to be checked by the way. You also have to change your steering column controls, as the adaptive cruise uses its own stal...

Re: Can ACC be unlocked?

I imagine that Skoda will tell you that it can't be done, much like Ford with the Fiesta (the camera required is fitted as standard for the anti-collision system) despite the fact that it's been coded in relatively easily by people far smarter than me. In the case of the A4, for example, the latest...

Re: Hello and a question

Thanks for the info guys, I'm just hoping that doesn't push back the production too much as the wife's car is finished it's PCP in September and I don't want to be waiting months for the Kodiaq!

Re: Can ACC be unlocked?

I really don't know the answer, I think that it would depend if the built in hardware was the same as used for the ACC. In my last Audi it used multiple radars in the front grilles but the Ford Fiesta uses a camera system and I'm not sure what version the Kodiaq uses. Add to that you'll need the cor...

Re: Hello and a question

I take the view where does it all end? I have a simple solution to this by wondering if the lack of equipment in the past ever made me yearn for it? Usually I find the answer is no. Electric windows are a classic. Back in the 80's did I resent those window winders? Did I find it a chore to wind a w...

Re: Hello and a question

Hahaha, this thread has taken an interesting turn...

I understand what you're saying, I'm sure that the majority of people are like that to be honest. I'd imagine that us petrolheads are a minority when compared with how many vehicles are on the roads.
