Re: Fob Battery

Interesting. My key is giving me the same message over the past couple of weeks as well. Battery replacement seems a bit fiddly. What type of battery for a start? And has anyone tried to, or had to, resynchronize the key once this is done? I was told the garage would do this, but for something like...

Re: Door edge protectors adjustment

RIP them off and leave them in the boot would be my advice, horrible things. I don't miss them on the new car. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 They're actually a good idea in principle; except, in practice, they don't seem to work at all. My wifes' Ford Focus has them and on the back doors there's actually a 3mm gap betwee...

Re: Breakdown and Roadside assistance

My insurance company passed the claim onto a claims management company to deal with, the guilty parties insurance company (Admiral) didnt like this as they wanted to manage it themselves as they accepted liability. When I declined they did their best to threaten and intimidate me. Never use Admiral...

Re: Kamiq Brochure and configurator available

I am old enough to remember the original Dacias back in the '70s and they really were absolute cr*p. In fairness, I grew up in an era where if you saw a Skoda you stopped, pointed and laughed. Ditto Lada. Skoda only ditched that image courtesy of VW buying them out and installing a grown up managem...

Re: Skodiaq Door edge protection

I agree entirely with the spare wheel. Luckily my Karoq (was the service managers 'smoke' for 1300 miles) had one. The gunge kit is ridiculous. Once used you have to buy a new tyre as the gunge has a deleterious effect on the rubber inside the tyre. so for the average Kodiaq tyre thet is about £150...

Re: Skoda Connect

Why would they do that unless you are defaulting on your payments? Destroying their own business! Because you've missed a payment. *A* payment. I don't know, maybe you had an unexpected outgoing which meant you didn't have enough money in your account one month; there is a process in place in the U...

Re: Skoda Connect

You don't mention the one real advantage of Smart Meters; namely that meter readings are transmitted to the energy supplier automatically removing the need for a meter reader to visit the property, or for you to supply meter readings to the supplier. And, of course, the energy supplier can cut your...
