Re: 18 months on.......

I'm pretty sure my car is on the fixed service - I've only done 2600 miles since I picked it up on 19th Jan, so nowhere near needing a service yet and hoping it's not too late to switch back to the variable service. Must take it in to Skoda at some point. My Skoda Connect App tells me that an oil se...

Re: insurance? what do you pay?

Sadly it's not always your insurer that is the problem and you get no say as to who the other party involved are insured with - it's just luck of the draw. I had a prang back in August 2017 that wasn't my fault. Thankfully the other party (an elderly lady) admitted liability at the scene and also st...

Re: Columbus System - Putting my Library on SD Cards

Just to chip in my 2p worth on what I know is an old thread reborn, however it might help someone avoid the frustrations I encountered. I've been fully Apple for some time now, so a lot of my music (certainly anything from a CD) is in AAC format on my Mac, all of which is on an old 64GB iPod Touch w...

Re: NORTH SOMERSET SKODA DEALERS

I live in South Somerset and ended up buying my car from Blade Skoda in Weston-super-Mare, and would agree that they were excellent and feel I got a really good deal from them. Justin Paddock was the salesman I was dealing with, but also talked at length with the lead sales person (sorry, can't reme...

Re: Speed limiters to be fitted by law in EU and UK?

I also keep the digital speedo set in the maxidot display as it's accurate to 1mph which is better than the 'normal' analogue speedo, which I hardly look at at all. Most of the other options in the maxidot display are pretty useless anyway tbh - not sure why I'd want to know my average fuel economy ...

Speed limiters to be fitted by law in EU and UK?

Just seen this on the BBC News website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47715415 I guess it was always coming, but my only thought is that I hope there's a more accurate system for detecting the speed limit available for all cars in the future than the one fitted to my Kodiaq. My car came with t...

Re: Kodi arriving tmr!

I’ve always had the “upgraded” stereo on my most recent cars, from Bose (Audi A4 & S4), Bang & Olufsen (Audi A5), Meridian (Land Rover Disco Sport) and now Canton (Kodiaq, obviously). Overall I’d say the best sound for me was the Meridian system in the LR, but the Canton is very good with a good pun...

Re: RECOMMENDED EFFORT FREE POLISH

Given the OP's request for the best product "irrespective of price" then I would suggest having a look at GTechniq's Crystal Serum Ultra: https://gtechniq.com/ There's a link half way down to find your nearest detailer that will apply it as it's only approved for professional applications. It does h...

They are a 'Simply clever' and jolly good idea plagiarised from Ford!. Those replied above are lucky. There are more than a few who have had problems involving ructions with dealers and SUK who refuse to accept failure as a warranty claim. At least one member has ripped all four off!! AFAIK for “pl...

Re: Adblue range

Forgot to ask - should I expect it to start counting down from around 1500 miles then? Is the system set to never estimate more than 4500 miles?
