Autoglym Lifeshine - 7 months on

I've always been rather sceptical of paint protection products offered by dealers, especially as they're so expensive (normally circa £400). I agreed to having Autoglym Lifeshine applied to my car when I was collecting it as the discount was so good (effectively free to close the deal), and it saved...

Re: How to download map updates via phone

Old Man & FA, thanks for the replies - I finally worked it out using the personal hotspot on my phone then connect through the car’s WLAN setting in the menu system. I think this was something set up when the dealer handed the car over in January, but it seems the car won’t allow a Wi-fi data conne...

How to download map updates via phone

Hi, I'm trying to update the maps in my car and want to do it using the data connection (4G) on my iPhone but can't seem to find a way for the car to recognise that there's an internet connection on my phone. I've tried going through all sorts of settings on the car so not sure if it's a setting on ...

Re: Anyone have cream leather?

I can't vouch for how well the Skoda cream leather will stand up as it's not an option on the Sportline, however I had cream leather on my Land Rover and loved it. Without the pano roof I'd definitely choose it if available as it will definitely make the interior much lighter. The leather in my Land...

Re: What detailing products do you use ?

I've just done my Kodiaq with Autoglym Super Resin Polish (the one with the red label). Far far easier to use than others I have tried, not the huge effort to rmove on drying others are!. Don't know how long it'll look gorgeous, mind.... It's good, but my issue with the Super Resin Polish has alway...

Re: Sun Glasses

It's a requirement to have the emergency buttons "eCall" in new cars sold within the EU from April 2018 so they are instead of the overhead storage. skoda-karoq.jpg https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-tech/101706/what-is-ecall-automated-emergency-call-technology-explained I think the microphone is in...

Re: THE OLDEST CAR EVER OWNED/DRIVEN

Not one I owned, but for one I drove quite a bit, it would definitely be my sister's 1967 Morris Minor, which I helped my brother-in-law rebuild after he'd spent 12 months stripping it apart, replacing most of the metal work forward of the A pillars, sills on both sides, bottom half of the B pillar ...

Re: What detailing products do you use ?

I had the Autoglym Lifeshine applied as a deal sweetener when I bought my car and so far it seems to be holding up pretty well. Not entirely convinced I would pay £400 or thereabouts for it though, lots of cheaper and better options out there if you're prepared to apply it yourself. The one part of ...

Re: What detailing products do you use ?

I'm actually looking at purchasing a snowfoam lance for my karcher, they only cost circa £40 or so and look to be really good. Does anyone have and use one, what's the verdict? Yes, I've got one for my Karcher, which is pretty old and I can't remember which model it is off the top of my head, but a...
