Re: Model Deletion

In answer to FoxtrotAlpha, I personally don’t find the black to be much different to any other colour with regards to soon looking dirty. It’s my first black car, so was a bit worried about it beforehand. That said, I religiously clean my cars once a week to keep on top of them from new. I’m also a ...

Re: Model Deletion

Good to generate some responses. Thanks all. It’s each to their own with debadging. Some like it, some don’t. Some people like to read into the motive behind it. Whatever “reason” anybody else may take from it is entirely up to them... I used to debadge my 335 BMWs (and that was just 3 numbers and 1...

Re: Model Deletion

Thanks. Yes I think it looks much better too. After first thoroughly washing the car I poured hot water onto the letters to soften the glue, then used an old plastic EU Insurance card to push under them to loosen them off. You can also use fishing line. Once I got them off I removed the adhesive res...

Model Deletion

Like a few others on here I found the rear lettering to be a bit busy and also a PITA when cleaning. So this morning I made the modification for a smooth arse end.
I couldn’t help but think along the way that maybe Skoda missed a trick...

Re: Will 245/45/20 fit onto 20" wheels?

Yes they'll fit ok on 8j wheels, which the Vega are. On the tables I've seen, 245 is the recommended maximum width.
Your speedo will read 0.75mph lower than actual speed at an indicated 60mph, due to the slightly increased rolling radius.

Re: Real MPG!?

Some pretty impressive mpg figures on this thread. I'm 920 miles in and averaging 35.3mpg. Best I had on a long motorway run from picking the car up was 39.8mpg. My commute is 22 miles with a mixture of town, 50mph road works and 70mph dual carriageway. I've been experimenting with the modes to see ...

Re: Skoda Connect

Thanks for the info Tony Is there any advantage to using the external sim over connecting via Bluetooth using your iPhone? I don’t know. I’ve not used a SIM in the car. Just figured it was most sensible to use my phone data. That said, I did get a free 200MB/month SIM from Three which I see a few p...
