Re: Clearing dead leaves inside wings

Yes there is a gap at top, it's where the mechanism / hinge for bonnet goes into. Can't see how leaves have gotten in through there as the hinge will block most of the gap off when bonnets closed, both my arches are leaf free and I get a lot of leaves over car. I'm unlucky enough to have a neighbou...

Re: Moll battery idenification

I've had a few low battery warnings flash up on my screen, probably because I haven't been doing enough mileage. I did wonder though if my car is fitted with a Moll battery that have been giving so much trouble. Is there a way to identify a Moll battery i.e. is there a visible name on it ? The only...

Re: 2018 Skoda 2.0 Edition - trapped stone noise.

Has it done this from new or did appear after some time? If it's a stone and the noise wasn't there from new it had to get in there somehow, therefore there must be an access hole. More likely to be a screw or nut that's come loose?

Personally I don't believe electric cars are the environmental answer people claim them to be.
Good topic for debate!

What is your reasoning?

Mine sometimes has an annoying rattle from the passenger seat, sometimes I leave the Mrs at home.
Mind's more like a persistent whine. I keep meaning to ask SWMBO if she can hear it, but I don't like to interrupt.

Re: OBDeleven

ANY alteration to the car beyond factory standard should be notified. ... and even changing to winter wheels & tyres for a few months a year. You gotta be kidding ? Of course the fitted tires and rims have to be legal for the vehicle. On our Superb i've had extra auxiliary springs fitted. That is a...

Re: OBDeleven

The answer is in two parts: 1) As someone who has never needed a clutch replacing in a manual gearbox car under 140k miles I'm not going to start unneccessary clutch thrust bearing use now or whatever the component that wears out is called. 2) In a Mazda, you don't need to wear out the clutch to ke...

Re: OBDeleven

I do find the Skoda stop/start terrible to use. Turning off before the car has stopped has not helped me one bit. I really do not seewhat the problem is. OK, the engine stops whilst the car is still rolling forward at 2(?) mph. Press the clutch and the engine starts immediately. No problem at all, ...

Re: OBDeleven

I think the chat about contacting insurance for the changes he's made is pretty ridiculous to be honest. Engine power hasn't been changed, just the throttle response, which can be done by changing driving modes in many cars (including the Kodiaq if you ticked the option for driving modes). It's not...

Re: OBDeleven

I would not consider remapping a car in the UK. If you want a faster and more powerful car then you shouldn’t have bought a Kodiaq or at least get a motorbike which beats any car for fun. [/quote] Once again I find myself agreeing with FA. :o This is becoming a disturbing habit! One of us must be b...
