I agree entirely with the spare wheel. Luckily my Karoq (was the service managers 'smoke' for 1300 miles) had one. The gunge kit is ridiculous. Once used you have to buy a new tyre as the gunge has a deleterious effect on the rubber inside the tyre. so for the average Kodiaq tyre thet is about £150...

Has anyone experience of using tyre repair gunk? SWMBO's Rapid is now due to have the Skoda issued "gunk" replaced and I see that there are several alternatives available from Halfords etc. to the very expensive Skoda marketed stuff. Is it false economy to go for the cheaper alternatives?
