If you want to use the brake pedal to manoeuvre you can press the autohold button near the gearstick to turn it off.

Same here, Dec 2018 build. Incidentally, I can’t find the tape deck on mine either, and was hoping for a Betamax player in the glovebox but was very disappointed to find some new fangled thing called a CD player. Mine new March 2018 has one 12V and one USB in the front console. No other input socket there. Same here, Dec 2018 build.
