Re: MY VERY FIRST CAR

The first car I had a 'go at' was a 1960 Skoda Octavia, red with white interior! It simply rotted away The heater was amazing, you opened two flaps and the heat poured out. Replaced the windscreen with a Ford Thames replacement. My first drive on proper roads was in a Vauxhall Cresta 3.3, brilliant ...

Re: Winter Coat

It looks good, what did you use? A sealant? I use Collinite 915 or FK100p.

Re: Engine clatter at 1500 RPM

I found that too but now that I have completed 12,000 miles the engine is much quieter and performance is more improved. Another key issue is the cold starting-obviously the clatter is much worse in colder weather and on start up.

Re: Pitting on chrome bits after hand/carwash

One suggestion could be that you apply a sealant so the chemicals attack the sealant and not the surface of the trim.

Re: Drivetrain(?) Sound

I thought I read somewhere that it had been diagnosed as a loose heat shield.

Re: SAT NAV and towing

Mrnice, I wish mine had the rear view camera. Looked in to buying a kit but lots of trailing wires to hide.

Re: SAT NAV and towing

Mrnice, I am not as good as you, I use motormover to bring caravan up to the car. Thankfully (fingers crossed} I have never had turn around when towing. I find the Kodiaq brilliant for towing my van, as others have said in other posts the mirrors are a pain. My Millenco mirrors kept coming off (due ...

Re: SAT NAV and towing

Thanks for the replies. I always use the red route so far, used the green route once and it took me through a lot of small towns. I have noticed on ebay sat nav units for trucks that get a lot of good reviews and are fairly cheap. I am going to look at the sat nav trailer option. I bought the dedica...

Re: Chrome window trims

Hello

when researching to help others with this problem I noticed:
Autosol 001910 Chrome Plastic Polish (available on Amazon site)

I do not know if it works but it might be worth a try, especially with the eye watering numbers being mentioned to replace trim.

SAT NAV and towing

Hello
I wonder if any owner can help.
I use my Kodiaq for towing a caravan, when using the inbuilt Sat Nav which option would you choose, the Red, Green or Amber option. I do not want to get stuck with my van.
Thanks
