Re: Hazard flashers/OBD Reader

Had a similar experience...... Turns out the alarm is about as loud as a sparrow farting so that may explain you not hearing it.

And skoda connect is crap... Doesn't notify alarm notifications and sometimes I see no history of the alarm going off.

Re: Maximum size of roof box?

I bought a set of eBay aero roof bars for use on my vito and they have been excellent. 5 yrs with ladders on them and a full two storey scaffold tower every now and again. Over 132k miles without issue. Will see if i can find a listing of similar ones for the kodiaq for you

Re: Braking issues (or lack thereof)

Most braking systems are vacuum power assisted. If there is a vacuum leak, any stored vacuum would have been lost without the engine running. It sounds like this lack of braking happened almost immediately after the engine would have restarted. Either way that is a serious fault.

Re: Car thieves can steal your motor in just six seconds using gadget that’s LEGAL

When you exit the car, press lock on the fob and then touch the outer handle sensor.... This disables the keyless entry. Jaguar landrover will be releasing keys that have a movement sensor in them. Keyless signal will only work if the key is moving. It cannot be scanned when holing up in your jacket...

Re: Do you have any of these SuperSkoda accessories?

I have the floor mats and mud flaps. Rubber mats.... Brilliant.... Nice snug fit with a decent raised lip. If you have little people I can suggest the rubber tunnel cover too. We didn't need this as the boy keeps muddy boots on the mat. Box cover.... You say the standard one is too low. It does slid...

Re: stop - start

It won't stop unless a list of variables are satisfied.

Just a few are.....
Engine temperature too low
Cabin temp too low or too high
Electrical drain of accessories high
Battery voltage too low.

Re: Auxiliary heater - Install?

Or as a cheaper option get an electric coolant heater fitted and plug it in at home for 45mins to preheat the engine for instant cab heating.

Re: Auxiliary heater - Install?

I don't see why not. As above probably would not be covered by warranty. Take a look on webasto website, bet they do a retro fit kit
