Re: DSG gearboxes

I don't believe it.

1.5 tsi with kodiaq = dq381
1.5 tsi with karoq = dq200

4x4 it would be dq381.

Do you have coasting function in your car Colin? If not, it is dq200.

Not that I've noticed, but will check it out tomorrow.
Thanks. Make sure it is cold, and the car crawls. Without using accelerator.

Re: Whats your new car taste like?

I thought I was going mad! I picked up my Scout a week ago, and noticed a funny taste, almost like a diesely aftertaste (not that that makes any sense). Still there now, and no, it's not diesel as it's a 2.0 TSI. Does your car make this sound? https://www.kodiaqforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2419

Re: Engine noise / whistle

Heating of the catalytic converter / heating of the engine is the official explanation. If we assume that is the case, what does that mean? Skoda has installed an engine heater? How do they heat a cat? Toaster technology? Toasters does not make noise. And it begins when it starts creeping? Not when ...

Re: Engine noise / whistle

I'll pay for some second opinions at the "united danish car owners" where i am a member. Until then, i will continue warning potentiel car buyers of how the engine sounds, which is how it should according to skoda. Car is in the workshop right now after wifey was hit in the side by another car in a ...

Re: Engine noise / whistle 2.0 TSI 140KW

Maybe some other 2.0 tsi 140KW owners can tell me if they have the same noise?

Can moderator change topic name to "Engine noise/whistle 2.0 TSI 140KW" ?

Re: Engine noise / whistle

This has been a bad introduction to the VAG group...

I'm contacting the importer to hear if that is how all their 2.0 tsi 140kw engines sounds like when cold.

Re: Engine noise / whistle

Mechanic info:

"The engine takes in extra air when it is cold, to make the engine hot, faster." To reduce particles etc...

BUT IT MAKES NO SENSE THAT IT DOES NOT BEGIN IMMEDIATELY WHEN I TURN THE ENGINE ON, BUT FIRST WHEN IT STARTS ROLLING.

Re: Launch control

Mine does, yes. (2019 Kodiaq 132TSI DSG 4x4) But the actual event is not particularly exciting from the 132TSI engine. My partner (who is not into cars) said, upon demonstration, "Is that it?". I'm waiting for someone to develop a flash for the 132TSI to open it up a bit. Dude. If You got a 2019 2....
